Being a ex Travel Consultant, I had other questions down the road, I either e-mailed Mark in New York or Beatrice in Kenya and every question was answered and diligently. They had booked us great connections for our flights considering how many times zones etc we were doing. Highly recommend it we were well rested and ready for our flight to Nairobi the next day. He then took us to our Hotel in Nairobi. JAMES picked us up and another couple the next day to start the Safari Max occupancy is 8 but they only take 6 people in there jeeps are.
He has been with Odyssey for 5 years and doing Safaris for 10 and it shows when he is looking for certain animals on the Safari and I will say he is persistent. We were told by the Ashnil Samburu employees. All our accommodations were either above expectations, 1 was fine but, I would rather 2 nights Sweetwater. Please see each accommodation on trip advisor for reviews. Our add-ons that we picked: Nairobi City tour I would bypass. I found it too be very crowded, congested and not too much too see. The balloon company was very good, and our Pilot was from Canada.
It was our 2nd balloon ride, and thought to do one over the Maasai would be neat our other was in Arizona. We saw a beautiful sunrise, the peace and tranquility up there in the balloon is what I love. It was an interesting place Stonetown. We didn't have time to tour outside of Stonetown to see any true beaches saw the Sandbanks from our room window. Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.
Some were having there picnic lunches in the bush.

I can't remember if there are seats I think there was Enjoy your trip You will love I. Where do they have you flying through. If you have other questions please feel free to email me. I will be glad to answer your questions.

Was looking for a place to post this and this is as good as any. I just returned from my first safari and booked it with Odyssey Safaris.
I had wanted to go a few years ago using the groupon, but a friend couldn't make it and it took me a couple of years to be able to go on my own. Well, as luck would have it, a friend heard about the trip and decided to go with me. We didn't use the groupon - but the others with us had used it. We got good pricing regardless. Mark Cahill was very responsive, as was Joy in the office, and Beatrice in the Kenyan office. Our first day guide in Nairobi was James, but Simon was our guide for the remainder of the safari.
His knowledge and eye for spotting animals are awesome. He has a great sense of humor as well. Much like the person posted above, we stayed at the same places, except we did not go to Zanzibar and while my friend traveled through Amsterdam, I traveled through Zurich there and Brussels on the way back. I wanted to do Zanzibar but have to save that for another trip. I'll be giving each of the hotels their own review at some point. My only negatives with the first hotel in Nairobi is the mosquito net didn't go all the way to the floor and had holes in it and the mosquitoes didn't care that I had repellant on - they got me and I looked like I had chicken pox the rest of the trip.
Oh, and the safe didn't work.
